Dan Levy has responded to a meme that compares Prince George and Princess Charlotte at the Queen’s Jubilee to his Schitt’s Creek character.
The young royals attended many events during the Easter weekend, with one snapshot showing George, eight, and Charlotte, seven, appearing to scowl.
One viral tweet compared the kids to David (Levy) and Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy), the spoiled adult children from the popular Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek.
“They are them,” comedian Rohita Kadambi remarked, displaying the royals and characters side by side. The post has been liked over 134,000 times.
Fortunately, Levy recognized the humor in the situation and merely commented “Lol” on the post.
On Instagram, he also agreed with the original statement, writing, “Not no.”
Schitt’s Creek follows the Roses, a rich family who lose everything when their father Johnny (Eugene Levy) goes bankrupt.
They are forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, a little run-down town, and reside in a motel.
The show was a sleeper smash that grew into a cult following after debuting on Netflix around the world.
The sitcom received 15 Emmy nominations for its last season, which ended in 2020, and won in all four acting categories, including Eugene and Dan Levy, Murphy, and Catherine O’Hara.
