“I hope we do a movie,” O’Hara, known for her role in Beetlejuice, shared. “That would be nice.”

“It’s just lovely to work with people who allow you to collaborate,” she said. “Eugene and Daniel worked with me from the start on my look and were open to my ideas. When I suggested having a wild vocabulary and an inconsistent way of speaking, Eugene was open to experimenting. He didn’t immediately dismiss my ideas. I even suggested wearing a different wig in every scene, and he was willing to explore that too.”

Series producer Andrew Barnsley revealed that the idea of a movie or series reboot is on the minds of Dan and Eugene Levy. They are considering it regularly, though it’s a matter of timing.
“We know there’s significant demand and interest,” Barnsley told The Messenger in 2023. “Dan and Eugene are thinking about it all the time. It’s important for us to maintain the show’s integrity and heart.”

The same is true for other well-known franchises like James Bond. Now that the Manly Movie Man saga has officially come to an end, authors are attempting to tackle the concept of a “good likable male character” from a new perspective. Being fully at ease with your sexuality and willing to communicate your feelings is the epitome of manly.
Since I haven’t really discussed Todd before outside of in relation to Dirk Gently’s Detective Agency, he serves as a fantastic example of this new wave of masculine characters. But by himself? In addition to being complicated and a little awkward, Todd also has a strong platonic affection for Dirk—as far as we know, since the show was canceled—and, most importantly, he doesn’t get away with bad behavior. Todd’s actions of being an asshole toward Amanda have real repercussions.
Even after Amanda partially forgives him, she still doesn’t let him completely off the hook and she’d much rather live her own life away from him. It’s complicated and surprisingly well-written. But enough about Todd, as much as I love Elijah Wood’s stunning performance. It’s time to talk about David Rose from Schitt’s Creek.
David is an interesting character. He has the general mannerisms of a stereotypical flamboyant gay man, right down to the overly dramatic hand gestures. If this show had been made less than a decade earlier, David would have been a punchline.
He has pretty much all of the personality traits that have been used to define and mock gay male characters in fiction for literal decades. But what sets David apart from all those demeaning depictions of gay male characters is that David isn’t really mocked for how he acts.
Even though David’s tendency toward hyperbole is frequently exploited for comedic effect—as demonstrated by the occasion when he ran away from home—he is not quite as theatrical as his mother Moira. David was born into a social caste of pampered rich people, thus it appears that his tendency toward over-dramas runs in his family. Over the course of the series, David gradually stops getting worked up over little things and starts to calm down a little. Furthermore, David’s feminine actions are never made fun of for being, well, feminine. This is typically not the case. whenever male characters exhibit any kind of femininity, even a basic interest in cookery.
It’s frequently utilized as the joke’s punchline since the story itself and the characters both exhort him to “man up.” Basically, even though the character is completely fine, male characters who don’t act masculine enough are often ridiculed, made fun of, and kicked around by the story until they comply. This never happens to David. His character arc is about him becoming less egocentric and self-absorbed rather than about him adopting a typical masculinity. Furthermore, David is never spoken down to or vilified for who he is. He doesn’t hear from people close to him to “man up.” David doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone since he is happy with who he is.
If you’ve watched “Schitt’s Creek,” you are familiar with the tale of the Rose family’s decline in society.
The show delightfully follows the once wealthy family as they adjust to a new existence in Schitt’s Creek, a small hamlet. Along the journey, the family picks up a lot of life lessons. It also teaches them a lot about adjusting to new careers.
David Rose has one of the most amazing career shifts in the Rose family.
As viewers of the show, you are aware of David’s exceptional qualities. His antics, demeanor, and style will always stick in your memory.
And after relocating to Schitt’s Creek, David makes the decision to make a significant change in his career, befitting the true icon that he is.
In addition to the many lessons about life that we may take from David, there are also many lessons concerning his job. The following are the most important career lessons we have acquired from him thus far:
David and his family were astonished to find themselves living in a run-down motel in a tiny town after being quite rich.
Sure, they were down on their luck and wallowed in their misery for a while. David was arguably the worst offender.
He was continually criticizing Schitt’s Creek and often stated that he was unhappy.
He quickly realized, however, that hanging about in his misery would not get him anywhere. He decided to leave the room he shared with his sister and do something productive.
What did David do that was productive? He went out and obtained a job at a shop named “The Blouse Barn.”
Was it the most glamorous job he’d ever held? Definitely not. However, he learned a great deal on the job.
David improved his customer service abilities, learned how to operate a store, and even secured a contract that resulted in significant revenue for the store (and, ultimately, himself).
If he hadn’t gotten out of bed and earned experience in this store, he might never have made the next significant step in his career.
Before relocating to Schitt’s Creek, David ran several art galleries. However, as you might expect, there was little of an art culture in the small town where he had relocated.
So, what should he do? Stay in his motel room all day, pouting?
No. Instead, he combined his knowledge from working at The Blouse Barn with his other skills to launch his own firm.
David starts Rose Apothecary, a boutique that sells a variety of products, from cosmetics to coffee. As David put it, “it’s a general store, but also a very specific store.”
David Rose is highly self-aware. He understands his own talents and flaws.
He knows who he is as a person, and that shows in his business.
David is not afraid to be himself, and his distinct personal brands set him and his company apart from the competition.
Anyone who enters into Rose Apothecary understands that David worked extremely hard on it. Every label, color scheme, and random (but perfect) object was chosen for a reason.
David never gave up on his idea for Rose Apothecary.
People wondered what his business was and how it would survive in a town like Schitt’s Creek. But he didn’t let that stop him from moving forward with his career.
We followed the humorous and endearing Rose family’s journey for six seasons as they lost their whole fortune and ended up penniless in Schitt’s Creek. The Rose family isn’t terribly relatable unless you insist on being couture every minute of every day, own a collection of expensive wigs, or charter yachts to far-off destinations. However, in terms of maturing, dreaming, and relationships, the show functions as a humorous self-help book.
Schitt’s Creek is the ideal medium to be both amusing and educative in equal measure because of its humorous and vulnerable examination of vulnerability. Here are nine important lessons I took away from the adored show, along with the character that imparted them to me.

We watch as Patrick and David, who speak two completely different love languages, get committed to one another and painfully figure out how to communicate their feelings to one another. It’s quite helpful to figure out your partner’s love language and know how to express it. I was able to observe how it operated directly from Patrick and David, and to be honest, it made me cognizant of the ways in which my husband’s vocabulary is different from mine.

Es que, definitivamente, no es lo mismo formar parte de una familia amorosa que andar de un lado a otro pasando penurias. Rudo lo ha vivido en carne propia, su cuerpo era la prueba de los estragos que ha pasado, al punto de que uno de sus ojitos había enfermado terriblemente.
La melancólica mirada del perrito expresaba la tristeza que sentía
Algunas personas lo encontraron acostado en el suelo y cabizbajo, no demoraron en darse cuenta del mal que tenía en su carita e hicieron una publicación en su cuenta de Facebook dando a conocer su caso.
Así fue como Caninos 911, A.C, organización de Villahermosa, Tabasco, en México, que se encarga de la protección de animales de la calle supo del hallazgo, y asignó a su personal para que iniciaran el procedimiento de rescate. Lo que vieron al encontrarlo les conmovió enormemente.
“Él es Rudo, un perrito que sufrió el mal trato de los “humanos” perdió su ojito debido a un golpe recibido y nos costará mucho tiempo sanar su corazón”, explicó el representante de la institución.
El veterinario lo evaluó y determinó que estaba contaminado por parásitos. Tal vez cualquier otro habría sucumbido ante el dolor, pero él sabía que no podía perder las esperanzas, y aunque su hermoso corazón estaba muy afligido se sobrepuso con valor para intentar salir adelante.
Cuando Rudo movió su colita por primera vez todos se emocionaron
Hicieron todo lo posible para salvar el ojito del perrito, pero no pudieron. Pusieron todo el empeño en el otro ojo para evitar que pasara lo mismo, y para la alegría de todos, lo lograron.
Pasó por un largo proceso de recuperación física, pero la parte emocional sería más difícil. El ánimo del perrito estaba muy inestable.
Pero con amor, cariño y comprensión todo se puede lograr, y las personas que lo rodeaban le daban, cada segundo, razones para sentirse feliz y agradecido.
Cada día, los rescatistas de Rudo luchaban para ganarse la confianza del canino y, poco a poco, vieron resultados. De un peludo completamente triste y solitario, ha pasado a ser un perrito dispuesto a jugar con todos, saltarín y alegre.
Rudo mantiene la esperanza de encontrar un hogar
Lo peor ha pasado; lo más importante es encontrarle un hogar a este canino que sueña con correr por un jardín, sentir la mano cariñosa de un humano y recuperar el tiempo perdido.

Caninos 911 después de haber rescatado a Rudo, publicó en sus redes sociales la información necesaria para que las personas que quieran darle un hogar se comuniquen.
No se arrepentirán nunca de tenerlo, y cada día será una experiencia maravillosa al lado del amoroso can.
