If the phrase “Fold in the cheese” instantly pops into your mind when thinking about enchiladas, then we have some exciting news for you.

Dan Levy, creator and star of Schitt’s Creek, recently discussed the possibility of a reunion for the beloved sitcom. According to Levy, any potential follow-up would need to match or exceed the original show’s quality.

“I love that people want more,” Levy told E! News at the Hollywood premiere of his new film Good Grief. “But it has to surpass what we’ve already achieved, and that’s a tough standard to meet. So, until the right idea comes along, who knows?”

He added, “But if it encourages people to revisit the show from the beginning, that’s not a bad thing.”

This sentiment is shared by his former co-stars, including Catherine O’Hara. In a May 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, O’Hara emphasized that a reunion would need to be “worth doing.”

“I would love to work with [Dan and Eugene Levy] again,” O’Hara said. “There has been some talk, but Dan always says it has to be the right idea, and he’s right.”

She continued, “We don’t want to just capitalize on the fans’ desire. We’ve had the most wonderful and supportive audience, and we don’t want to let them down. I hope we get to do it someday!”

One of the show’s standout moments was when Alexis tried to become a reality star and recorded her theme song. The single “A Little Bit Alexis” quickly became a viral sensation. Annie Murphy, who wrote the song with her husband, aimed to create a hit reminiscent of tracks by Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.

Dan Levy shared with EW, “I asked Annie to write the song, and now I get tweets from predominantly gay men in clubs where the song is playing. To me, that’s the highest compliment.”

Murphy also choreographed Alexis’s dance routine, keeping her moves a secret until filming. “I hoped it would be good enough, and then I went in and performed it,” she told EW.
